A limited-time distribution is now available in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet of a Fuecoco based off of Roy's Fuecoco from Pokémon Horizons: The Series. This distribution was first announced in the press release for the Pokémon presence at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International earlier this month.

2024 continues to bring regular in-game events to Pokémon Sleep. With the two week long First Anniversary Fest event not even over yet, fans can now also look forward to the game's first returning event outside of the monthly Good Sleep Days, with Pokémon Growth Week Vol. 2, commencing Monday August 5th at 4:00am local time, running through until Monday August 12th at 3:59am local time.

An update on the Pokémon Trading Card Game's official Japanese homepage has officially revealed a number of new cards that will be released in the Sylveon ex and Ceruledge ex Stellar Tera Type Starter Sets, which release late next month in Japan on August 30th. This is the first time the official website has acknowledged these products, after a video advertisement for the decks appeared to have been inadvertently aired early.

A brand new Three-Type Egg Event is making its debut today in Pokémon Masters EX, showcasing a selection of Electric-, Ghost-, and Ground-type Pokémon Eggs. This event is scheduled to run until August 8th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Pokémon UNITE updated to Version 1.15.1.3 at 7:00am (UTC) on July 25th, ahead of the start of Battle Pass Season 25. This update brings balance changes to the newest Pokémon, Ho-Oh, along with Shop and Event updates for the the ongoing 3rd Anniversary Celebrations. Specifically, this update balances out Ho-Oh's Unite Move, Rekindling Flame, which has not been used in battles much by players due to issues with its range, amount of Aeos Energy needed, and required Unite Move gauge amount. Additionally, this update also brings bug fixes where moves of other Pokémon were not functioning as intended.

Next week, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live will be receiving an update to Version 1.16.0 ahead of the release of Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable. This update will resolve a number of issues where cards abilities and effects were being applied incorrectly or inconsistently, as well as updating avatar models and the designs of Energy card sleeves. As usual, the update will be preceded by an 8 hour long maintenance window, which is scheduled to start at 8:00am (PDT) / 3:00pm (UTC) on July 30th.

Pokémon Masters Day is here again, with the usual collection of regular events and presents on offer in Pokémon Masters EX for the monthly celebrations. All players who log in today will receive a special present of 500 gems from Pikachu, and have the opportunity to take advantage of special events and co-op battles. As always, several Sync Pairs are also receiving upgrades alongside this monthly event.

The official Pokémon website has announced that a special Pikachu promotional card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game will be distributed starting early next month, to commemorate the 2024 Pokémon World Championships. The cards, which feature a Pikachu battling a Mew, are illustrated by Atsushi Furusawa, who was a semi-finalist in the Pokémon Card Game Illustration Grand Prix, and has since illustrated more than 40 cards for the game.

Niantic has confirmed that Popplio, the Sea Lion Pokémon, will be the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's Community Dayfor August 2024. During the event, which will run on August 31st, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time, Popplio and its Shiny variant will be appearing more frequently in the wild.

In addition to the Pokémon GO Safari event for Jakarta, Indonesia, Niantic this week also announced a Pokémon GO City Safari event to be held in the Songdo Central Park in Incheon, South Korea, running from September 27th to 29th. In this ticketed in-person event, Trainers will explore Incheon, a city "where the future and the past coexist".

This week, Niantic announced details on a new Pokémon GO City Safari event for Jakarta, Indonesia, which continues the run of Pikachu's Indonesia Journey events in collaboration with Pokémon Air Adventures. This ticketed in-person event will run over the weekend of September 21st and 22nd, featuring encounters with both location-themed wild Pokémon and Pokémon themed around the Pokémon Air Adventures, along with event-exclusive Research.

As part of a continuing collaboration with Mie Prefecture in Japan for the Pokémon Local Acts program, a range of merchandise featuring Oshawott, the official Ambassador Pokémon for the prefecture, is being released as part of a promotion centered around the Shima Spain Village theme park.

Gaming journalist Casey Defreitas from IGN has gotten an exclusive first look at new Pokémon merch that will be available exclusively at the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, which this year are being held at the Hawai'i Convention Center in Honolulu. A short video showcasing all of the newly revealed merchandise has also been posted by IGN on their official account on X (formerly Twitter).

The third chapter of Pokémon Adventures’s Scarlet & Violet arc brings us humor, new Pokémon, and exciting plot developments! This chapter is a fun and fast-paced addition to the story after the previous chapter was mostly focused on giving us some much-needed context. As promised in last month's letter from the game's producers, the first ever Ranked Damage Event, Super Sparring, is launching today in Pokémon Masters EX. This new format of event follows the same basic rules as the recently introduced Damage Challenge, while applying some additional special rules to ensure a special challenge for players.

In the latest part of a series of Summer-themed seasonal events in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet leading up to the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, the Big Catfish Pokémon Dondozo with the Mightiest Mark will be making its debut in 7-star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles in a two week long event starting Friday July 26th at Midnight (UTC), and running through to Thursday August 8th at 11:59pm (UTC). Alongside these Tera Raids, Curly, Droopy, and Stretchy Form Tatsugiri will also be appearing in Mass Outbreaks.

After being re-run twice during 2023, the Team Aqua's Stormy Seas Villain Event is making yet another return this week to Pokémon Masters EX, running through to August 1st at 10:59pm (PDT). This event originally ran as part of the Hoenn chapter of the Villain arc between August 10th and August 28th, 2022.

Every day this week, Pokémon Sleep has been announcing new information alongside the first half of the First Anniversary Fest event. In this final announcement, further information was released on the new update that will be released sometime in early August. Coming in this update is a new feature, the Good-Night Ribbon, which will give bonuses to individual helper Pokémon based on the total amount of sleeping time Sleep Researchers have shared with them, and the evolutionary level of the Pokémon.

Pokémon UNITE is celebrating its 3rd Anniversary from July 19th, 2024, with a variety of in-game events, addition of new holowear, and a new Pokémon joining the fray — Ho-Oh. A new Battle Pass for Season 25 will also be arriving on July 26th, and various announcements have revealed details about ongoing events, as well as upcoming plans for the game.

After over two months of waiting, the final original song of the Project VOLTAGE collaboration between Pokémon and the Vocaloid character Hatsune Miku has now been released, with the music video for Champion (チャンピオン) by Kanaria making its debut on the artist's own official YouTube channel.
