The Looming Shadow of Kanto Villain Event is making a return to Pokémon Masters EX until March 26th, at 9:59pm (PDT). This event originally ran in September and October 2001 as a prelude to the Kanto arc of the Villain chapter, before being re-run from mid-February to early March 2022 in conjunction with the game's 2.5 year anniversary. A new remix of Battle! (Galar Gym Leader) was also made available today.

Regidrago will be making its Pokémon GO debut this week in a series of special Elite Raids on March 11th. Trainers who managed to conquer the raid will not only earn an opportunity to catch it, but will also unlock exclusive timed research awarding Regirock Candy, Regice Candy, and Registeel Candy on completion.

The massive success of the Pokémon franchise has been recognised once again by NPD, with The Pokémon Company International receiving multiple awards last month at Spielwarenmesse, the Nuremberg International Toy Fair. The next past generation starter evolution to make its Paldea debut in special Tera Raids will be the The Arrow Quill Pokémon Decidueye, who will be making its first appearance in 7-star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles later this month, between March 17th at 00:00 (UTC), and March 19th at 23:59 (UTC), with a follow-up appearance one week later from March 24th at 00:00 (UTC), to March 26th at 23:59 (UTC).

As announced earlier this week during the Pokémon Presents presentation for Pokémon Day, Bede is appearing in Pokémon Masters EX in a brand new Sync Pair together with Galarian Form Articuno. Bede (Champion) & Articuno's Master Fair Scout is available now, and will continue through until April 8th, at 9:59pm (PDT).

Updates today on the Pokémon Trading Card Game's official Japanese homepage and YouTube channel have revealed the majority of the remaining new cards for Triplet Beat, the upcoming Scarlet and Violet subset for the Pokémon TCG which will be released in Japan on March 10th. While several full art cards have yet to be announced or previewed, these cards should be alternative art reprints of other cards in the set, rather than entirely new cards.

A new trailer for the upcoming new Pokémon anime series aired this evening in Japan after the end of the most recent anime episode. Shortly afterwards, the trailer was uploaded to the English language Official Pokémon YouTube channel, together with English subtitles. A new Japanese press also released a collection of concept art and cast information for the three main human characters in the new anime. The new series will begin broadcasting on TV Tokyo in Japan with a 1 hour special starting 6:55pm (JST) on April 14th.

Between the Pokémon Presents and the beginning of Rising Heroes, a brand new in-game season, a wealth of information has been released this week by Niantic and The Pokémon Company about upcoming in-game events coming to Pokémon GO during March, April, and May.

Hop (Champion) & Zapdos's Master Fair Scout is available now, and will continue through until April 8th, at 9:59pm (PDT).

The Fair-Exclusive 5★ N & Zekrom are the featured Sync Pair for the latest Monthly Poké Fair Scout in Pokémon Masters EX, which will remain available until March 31st, at 9:59pm (PDT).. Players who manage to scout the pair will be able to invite Gloria as a Guest to the Trainer's Lodge. The sync pair has also received new fair-exclusive tiles in their sync grid in conjunction with this scout.

In what might be generously described as an unexpected announcement, the Pokémon Presents video presentation for Pokémon Day announced Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic, a premium Pokémon TCG product for non-tournament play centered around classic cards from the very first sets of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. In addition to classic cards, the set also features unique Ho-Oh ex, Lugia ex, and Suicune ex cards that will be exclusive to this set.

In a surprise announcement as part of the Pokémon Presents video presentation for Pokémon Day, The Pokémon Company in partnership with Netflix and the animation team at dwarf studios have announced Pokémon Concierge, a new stop-motion animation series. At this stage, no date as yet been given for when we can expect this series to be released, though promotional material states that the series is "coming soon".

As announced earlier during the Pokémon Presents presentation for Pokémon Day, a range of scouts, events and bonuses are launching in Pokémon Masters EX to celebrate the game's 3.5 year anniversary. The monthly message from the game's producers has also dropped, providing more detail on the recent app update which added redecorating features to the Trainer Lodge, as well as information on the three Master Sync Pairs that will be making their debut as part of the anniversary celebrations. The next developer letter is slated for late March, and will include more information regarding new events and sync pairs coming to the game in April.

In the Pokémon Presents video presentation that aired earlier today, The Pokémon Company announced for the first time a set of two expansions for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will release two parts in the back half of this year, with The Teal Mask launching during the northern hemisphere autumn, while The Indigo Disk will release during the northern hemisphere winter. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is available for pre-purchase now on the Nintendo eShop.

The newly announced Paradox Pokémon, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, will be appearing in 5-star Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet until March 12th, at 11:59pm (UTC). Walking Wake will appear exclusively for players with Pokémon Scarlet, while Iron Leaves will be appearing exclusively in Pokémon Violet. All Walking Wake and Iron Leaves encountered during this debut event for the Pokémon will have the Water Psychic Tera Types respectively.

With the clock having already ticked over to Pokémon Day in Japan, Pokémon Masters EX has dropped a collection of special scouts, allowing players multiple opportunities to pair up with sync pairs of regional champions from across the history of the Pokémon franchise. These scouts will be available throughout the next month, so there's plenty of time to get the sync pairs you're looking for.

In a sudden shadow-drop for Pokémon Day, the Pokémon Company has announced the launch of the Pokémon Game Sound Library, allowing fans to download music and musical scores from the Pokémon video game series at zero cost, for non-commercial personal use only.

A selection of new full art cards that will be released in Triplet Beat, the first Scarlet and Violet subset to be released in Japan on March 10th, were revealed earlier today as part of today's live stream for the Japanese Pokémon Trading Card Game Champion's League. All four cards revealed are alternative art prints of cards already revealed for the Triplet Beat subset.
