Worlds 2024 Pikachu promo cards to be distributed with purchase from August 2nd-18th, and at Pokémon League events from August 12th-18th

The official Pokémon website has announced that a special Pikachu promotional card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game will be distributed starting early next month, to commemorate the 2024 Pokémon World Championships. The cards, which feature a Pikachu battling a Mew, are illustrated by Atsushi Furusawa, who was a semi-finalist in the Pokémon Card Game Illustration Grand Prix, and has since illustrated more than 40 cards for the game.

IGN reveals new event-exclusive merchandise that will be available at next month's 2024 Pokémon World Championships in Honolulu

Gaming journalist Casey Defreitas from IGN has gotten an exclusive first look at new Pokémon merch that will be available exclusively at the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, which this year are being held at the Hawai'i Convention Center in Honolulu. A short video showcasing all of the newly revealed merchandise has also been posted by IGN on their official account on X (formerly Twitter).

Crocs reveals four new Pokémon-themed shoe designs coming in 2024

The American footwear brand Crocs is expanding their collaboration with the Pokémon brand this year, previewing four new Gen I designs coming sometime in 2024, though no specific date has been given. Following the Pikachu design from earlier this year, Jigglypuff, Charizard, Gengar, and Snorlax will each feature on Crocs’ Classic Clog, with the Pokémon’s colors in a swirled design on the upper and a monochrome sole.

Seven new plushie Pokémon friends coming to the Comfy Cuddlers plush line in Japan, starting from July 27th

From July 27th onwards, the Pokémon Center official storefront in Japan will offer seven new plush toys as part of their 'Comfy Cuddlers' line. The Comfy Cuddlers collection debuted in July of 2022 in Japan, and consists of mini 'pocket plushes'—versatile toys than can serve as side-by-side collection displayables, desk toys, or as the name suggests, cuddling. Each Comfy Cuddlers plush is hand-washable, and features a soft, easy-to-clean design.

New plushies for Pokémon Sleep coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan, plus Fuecoco arrives as Build-A-Bear's newest bundle

Pokémon Centers in Japan are adding some new sleepy plushes to their lineup inspired by the first anniversary of Pokémon Sleep. The app’s mascot Snorlax will feature as a plushie with Pikachu asleep on its belly for ¥6,930 ($43.90 USD), and the sleeping Gengar, Eevee, and Larvitar plushies come in at ¥3,520 ($22.30 USD) each. These four will be available at Pokémon Centers across Japan beginning July 20th, and at the Pokémon Center Online beginning July 18th.

Pokémon booth at Comic-Con International to feature interactive Pokémon Horizons experience — Other booths offer exclusive merch and TCG tournaments

A press release from The Pokémon Company International earlier today has announced a collection of Pokémon activities, displays, and distributions that will be taking place at the upcoming Comic-Con International 2024, which is being held later this month from July 25th-28th, with a special preview night being held on July 24th. These include an interactive booth where attendees can learn more about Pokémon Horizons: The Series, and a special early distribution of Roy's Fuecoco for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. A variety of other Pokémon-related activities and attractions, including TCG tournaments, will also be running during this event.

Gelato Pique’s expansive new Pokémon Sleep loungewear collab coming to retailers across Japan and online in the US

Gelato Pique, the Japanese loungewear retailer that launched their first Pokémon Sleep collection shortly after the app’s launch last year, is back with a second round of cozy apparel in an even larger collab. The new 43-piece collection features men’s, women’s, kids’, and infant apparel, plus accessories and bedding. It will be available at Gelato Pique, MASH, and Usagi stores across Japan on July 26th, as well at Gelato Pique, MASH, and Usagi’s websites, and Gelato Pique’s US website.

Comic book-style merch collection, "Secret of Might," coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan

The Pokémon Company is showing off lots of new merch coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan over the coming weeks, with the largest collection being the new “Secrets of Might,” which stars Palafin in its Hero Form. The new collection is styled after American comic books and features Lokix, Boltund, Kingambit, and more Pokémon in action-packed poses. “Secrets of Might” will arrive at Japanese Pokémon Centers on July 20th and at the Pokémon Center Online on July 18th.

Users report bugs, delays following launch of Worlds 2024 Pokémon Center Pop Up Store reservations

July 10th marked the start of reservations for the 2024 Worlds Pokémon Center Pop Up Store this August 14th to 18th in Honolulu, Hawaii. The announcement was made via Play Pokemon's social media channels, where they shared that those who register may have "the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise" at the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, which will kick off on August 16th and end on August 18th. However upon the website's release, many users reported that they were unable to register, or that they had to continually refresh the page in order to secure a reservation.

New ancient Paradox Pokémon plushies and male and female Bidoof stools coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan

The Pokémon Company announced today some interesting new additions coming to customers in Japan. Following their inclusion in another recent merchandise line, Walking Wake, Gouging Fire, and Raging Bolt will be making their plush debuts at Japanese Pokémon Centers beginning July 13th and at the Pokémon Center Online on July 11th. Each plush will retail for ¥4,950 ($30.79 USD). All three Paradox plushies will also be available via Amazon Japan on July 20th, though quantities are expected to be very limited.

New Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot merch coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan, plus themed food and drinks at Pokémon Cafés

Fans of the Pawmi evolution family will be excited to find an entire new collection starring the Mouse Pokémon coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan. The “Pawmi No Mure” collection, featuring homegoods, stationery, and plenty of plushes, will arrive in-store at Pokémon Centers on August 3rd and at the Pokémon Center Online on August 1st. The newest set of plush additions to Pokémon Centers in the West are some Paldea and Kitakami natives that debuted earlier this year at Pokémon Centers in Japan. Pawmot, Pawmo, Finizen, Poltchageist, and Sinistcha are available now at Pokémon Centers serving the US, U.K., and Canada. The newly opened Pokémon Centers for New Zealand and Australia don't have the new plushes yet, continuing to be the last to have new merch available for purchase.

New Pokémon home and travel collection coming to Singapore supermarkets

Singapore’s largest supermarket chain, FairPrice, which brought fans Pokémon-embossed OREOs earlier this year, have announced a new collection of Pokémon products called “Living with Pokémon.” The 11-piece collection features Pikachu, the Eeveelutions, and more Pokémon designs across home goods and travel products. ”Living with Pokémon” will be available at FairPrice locations across the country and at their website from July 4th until September 25th.

New drinks, food, and merch inspired by sea and mountain Pokémon coming to Pronto cafés in Japan

A new menu inspired by Pokémon of the seas and mountains is coming to Italian-style Japanese coffee chain Pronto beginning July 11th and lasting until September 16th. The chain has revealed a selection of three new drinks with summery flavors, two new meals, and a dessert, as well a collection of original merchandise that will be available exclusively in-store at some Pronto locations.
