Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku Project VOLTAGE merch coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan, with new song debuting January 28th

The Pokémon Company is expanding its collaboration with vocaloid Hatsune Miku, this time launching a collection of merchandise featuring the singer as a Pokémon Trainer specializing in each of the 18 types. Pokémon x Hatsune Miku are also adding to their catalog of songs, launching their first song of 2026 on January 28th. The new merch collection, “18 Harmony Stage,” will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan on January 31st, and to the Pokémon Center Online on January 29th.

New Mega Evolution plushes coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan, plus a new classic “fat” Pikachu plush from Takara Tomy

The Pokémon Company is debuting some new Mega Evolution plushes today, which will be coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan beginning January 24th, and to the Pokémon Center Online on January 22nd. Meanwhile, Takara Tomy has announced a new plush as well, a classic “fat” version of Pikachu in celebration of the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The “Welcome Back!” Pikachu plush, as it's called, will be available via Takara Tomy’s website beginning February 28th.

LEGO Pokémon sets and promotion revealed — Sets available for pre-order now ahead of release on Pokémon Day, February 27th

Today, The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company announced the first LEGO Pokémon sets, as part of a collaboration first teased during March last year. The three main sets revealed today include models of Eevee, Pikachu, and the fully-evolved forms of the Kanto first partner Pokémon. These three sets are all primarily for display, with age ratings of 18+. All of these sets are available for pre-order starting today from both LEGO.com and Pokémon Center, and are slated for release on Pokémon Day, February 27th.

Pokémon x Natural History Museum of London pop-up shop announces “Pokécology” theme, new merch, and an exclusive oversized TCG card

The Pokémon pop-up shop coming to the Natural History Museum of London has announced several new details surrounding the project, including the theme of the merchandise and a special TCG card available as a gift with purchase. The Pokémon Company is debuting a very pastel new collection themed after Pokémon daydreaming of their evolutions, including plushes that have little plush toys of their own. The “Little Daydream” collection will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan on January 10th, and to the Pokémon Center Online on January 8th. On top of that, The Pokémon Company is adding four new plushes to their popular Comfy Friends line, arriving at Pokémon Centers in Japan on January 17th, and to the Pokémon Center Online on January 15th.

Uniqlo announces new 30th anniversary merch collection, inspired by early watercolor Pokémon art, launching in Japan March 2026

Japan-based clothing retailer Uniqlo is previewing a new collab with The Pokémon Company, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Pokémon Red and Green’s release in Japan. Pokémon Day 2026 is coming up on February 27th, and to mark the occasion, Uniqlo’s graphic tee imprint, UT, will be debuting t-shirts in kid’s and adult’s sizes inspired by watercolor artwork from the early days of the Pokémon franchise.

Preorders open now for English-language release of Pokécology: An Illustrated Guide to Pokémon Ecology - releasing in the US and Canada April 2026

Previously written and published in Japanese, the full-color Pokécology: An Illustrated Guide to Pokémon Ecology book is receiving an English-language edition scheduled to be released on April 21st, 2026. The book contains a “new perspective” on Pokémon, exploring their characteristics, lifestyles, and environments, based on information in the Pokédex. PokéPark Kanto, the first permanent Pokémon amusement park, to open February in Tokyo

The Pokémon Company has announced a major addition to the Pokémon brand; PokéPark Kanto will be the first permanent outdoor attraction for the company. PokéPark Kanto will be opened as a section in the Yomimuriland amusement park, in the Tama Hills suburb of Tokyo. The park occupies 26,000 square feet and boasts interactive experiences, shops, stage shows, and two carnival rides.

More details announced for Pokémon Astronomical Observatory, including upcoming locations and new merch

As announced earlier this year, Pokémon Astronomical Observatory will be coming to a variety of museums and cultural centers in Japan throughout the next year. The traveling astronomy exhibit is a collaboration between The National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) and The Pokémon Company, and aims to increase children’s interest in science. New details have been announced regarding the exhibit, including the traveling schedule and a collection of new merchandise to be sold at each location. The NAOJ states that the exhibit is designed to “spark children’s interest in space, strengthen the talent pool which studies science, and increase overall support for basic science.” Visitors to the exhibit will find a learning and entertainment experience with an emphasis on exploration and discovery, and featuring mysterious Pokémon.
