Pokémon × Kogei: Playful Encounters of Art and Japanese Craft exhibit debuts in Japan

A brand new art exhibit has debuted in the Japanese National Crafts Museum in Kanagawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. The Pokémon × Kogei: Playful Encounters of Art and Japanese Craft exhibit features the work of 20 individuals, from living national treasures to young rising stars, taking shape as pottery, attire, metalwork, and other Japanese crafts. The exhibit runs from March 21st until June 11th, 2023, excluding Mondays. There are about 70 works, featuring Pokémon from Generations 1-8.

20 minute long Pokémon Presents presentation to be streamed on Pokémon Day, February 27th, from 6:00am (PST) / 2:00pm GMT / 11:00pm JST

As expected, the Pokémon Company has confirmed that a Pokémon Presents video will premiere on the official Pokémon YouTube channel this Pokémon Day, February 27th, at 6:00am (PST) / 2:00pm GMT / 11:00pm JST. The video will be approximately 20 minutes in length, which is 6 minutes longer than the presentation in 2022. The media alert states that "Fans can look forward to around 20 minutes of Pokémon news and join in the conversation online with #PokemonDay.", however it stops short of giving any specifics about what kinds of announcements we can expect.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation's Catch a Million marathon returns for 2023, asking streamers to catch 1 million Pokémon to support kids cancer research

Between April 23rd and April 30th, St Baldrick's Foundation will once again be challenging the Pokémon streaming community to collectively catch 1 million Pokémon, and in the process help them raise $100,000 in 7 days to fund childhood cancer research. Any and all streamers, big or small, with any appreciation whatsoever for Pokémon, are invited to participate in the event and help the foundation reach its fundraising goal.

Primal Reversion mechanics for Pokémon GO detailed - will debut in-game for first time during live event in Las Vegas on February 18th-19th

Niantic has announced additional details regarding Primal Reversion mechanics for Pokémon GO. As announced back in November, these mechanics will be added to the game with the Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn live event at Sunset Park in Nevada, Las Vegas on February 18th and 19th, from 10am to 6pm (PST), which will see the debut of Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, alongside their Shiny variants.

Niantic has announced preliminary details regarding Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn, which will be beginning in February 2023. The first live event of the tour will be held at Sunset Park in Nevada, Las Vegas on February 18th and 19th, from 10am to 6pm (PST). Ultra Beasts are invading Earth in Pokémon GO on November 26th and 27th

A wave of Ultra Beasts will be appearing in Pokémon GO as part of global events running between now and November 27th. On November 26th, in-person events will be taking place in London in the United Kingdom, and Los Angeles in the United States. A livestream will also be broadcast on the official Pokémon GO YouTube channel as part of these events, starting from November 26th at 7:00pm (PST, GMT -8).

More details revealed for Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Taipei and Pokémon Air Adventures events to be held in Taipei in October

Niantic has released more details on the upcoming ticketed Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Taipei event, which will being held from October 21st to October 23rd at the Da'an Forest Park in the city of Taipei. A Pokémon Air Adventures event is also scheduled to be held concurrently with this Safari Zone event. While only Trainers in Taipei will be able to access the complete event, some limited items from the Air Adventures event will be available worldwide.

Pokémon Air Adventures launches new Pikachu Jet TR with Singapore's Scoot, Pikachu Weekend in Singapore event announced for November 18th-20th

The Pokémon Company has announced that it will be launching a special Pokémon-themed plane this September in collaboration with the Singapore-based airline Scoot. The Pikachu Jet TR is scheduled for its inaugural flight from Singapore to Tokyo, Japan this September 9th. It will operate mainly on routes between destinations in Asia, including flights between Singapore, Tokyo and Seoul.

2022 Pokémon World Championships recap - Champions, announcements for Scarlet and Violet, the TCG, Masters EX and UNITE, 2023's location, and more

After a two-year hiatus due to the global pandemic, the Pokémon World Championships returned to full swing with the 2022 event that was held over this past weekend, from August 18th to August 21st. This year's event took place at ExCeL London in London, England, with the Opening Ceremony, most matches, and the Closing Ceremony being streamed live on the various official Pokémon Twitch channels. A variety of announcements were made over the course of the event, with reveals for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon Masters EX, and Pokémon UNITE.

As announced together with the streaming schedule last week, limited-time distributions of a digital rewards for a variety of Pokémon games are currently being distributed in celebration of the 2022 Pokémon World Championships. Theia Sky Ruins map unveiled for Pokémon UNITE, use code「WORLDS2022」to receive a World Championships themed t-shirt for your in-game trainer

A brand new battle arena for Pokémon UNITE was premiered during the opening ceremony of the 2022 Pokémon World Championships, with a trailer for the Theia Sky Ruins. While sporting a similar layout to the existing Remoat Stadium map, this new map features battles with wild Pokémon not previously seen in the game, including a face-off with the Sky High Pokémon, Rayquaza. Also released during the live stream were codes for players to acquire a Worlds-themed T-shirt avatar item in-game, as first announced together with the streaming schedule last week.

Exclusive TCG coin and marker sets to be available at 2022 Pokémon World Championships Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store

2022 Pokémon World Championships Streaming Schedule released - Victini and other digital rewards to be distributed as part of broadcast

The 2022 Pokémon World Championships will be taking place from August 18th to 21st, at the ExCeL Centre in London. The Pokémon Company International has today shared details about how fans can catch all the action via livestreams on the various official Pokémon Twitch channels. Also released were details on a variety of digital broadcast rewards that fans can receive simply by tuning in, including the Victory Pokémon, Victini, as well as a physical distribution of Sinistea for people attending the event in-person.
