The Pokémon Company is continuing their relationship with Universal Studios Japan, with both companies announcing a new Pokémon experience coming to the theme park. While the exact nature of the collaboration has not yet been revealed, the companies say that it will first debut at Universal Studios Japan, but is planned to expand to their locations across the globe, including Universal Studios Orlando.

The Pokémon Company has announced a major addition to the Pokémon brand; PokéPark Kanto will be the first permanent outdoor attraction for the company. PokéPark Kanto will be opened as a section in the Yomimuriland amusement park, in the Tama Hills suburb of Tokyo. The park occupies 26,000 square feet and boasts interactive experiences, shops, stage shows, and two carnival rides.

Macy’s has recently announced the lineup for their annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, confirming that a Pokémon balloon will make an appearance, just as one has in every parade since the debut of the original Pikachu balloon in 2001. Macy’s is debuting several new balloons this year, making the returning Pokémon balloon one of 34 in this year’s parade.

To celebrate the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app reaching its first anniversary, The Pokémon Company International is hosting a pop-up event at Outernet, an events complex in central London that features screens covering its walls. The event will be held over two days, on November 8th and 9th, and will feature in-game prizes, game demos, and other digital experiences and festivities.

As announced earlier this year, Pokémon Astronomical Observatory will be coming to a variety of museums and cultural centers in Japan throughout the next year. The traveling astronomy exhibit is a collaboration between The National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) and The Pokémon Company, and aims to increase children’s interest in science. New details have been announced regarding the exhibit, including the traveling schedule and a collection of new merchandise to be sold at each location. The NAOJ states that the exhibit is designed to “spark children’s interest in space, strengthen the talent pool which studies science, and increase overall support for basic science.” Visitors to the exhibit will find a learning and entertainment experience with an emphasis on exploration and discovery, and featuring mysterious Pokémon. As announced earlier this year, the Pokémon Fossil Museum will be making its debut in North America at The Field Museum of Natural Science in Chicago, after first exhibiting throughout Japan beginning in 2021. The exhibit includes models of Fossil Pokémon compared with real fossils, plus displays of real-life fossil preparation and excavation tools. Pokémon Fossil Museum opens on May 22nd, 2026, with no currently announced closing date.

Five members of Japan’s NHK Symphony Orchestra will be putting on a special concert this coming November, where they will perform a selection of music from Pokémon games, along with some classical pieces. Almost five months after the last major Project VOLTAGE update, posts on the official website and social media accounts for the project, as well as on the official YouTube channels for Hatsune Miku and Pokémon in Japan, have announced that a series of special Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku VOLTAGE Live concerts will be held at LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY next year on March 20th through 22nd. A new Project VOLTAGE song, implied to be themed around N from Pokémon Black and White, will also be released next month on September 18th.

J-POP Manga, the manga imprint of Italian publishing house Edizioni BD, have announced that they will be bringing Hidenori Kusaka and Satoshi Yamamoto, the author and illustrator of the Pokémon Adventures manga series, to Italy in collaboration with the Milan Games Week & Cartoomics, Italy's leading event for pop culture and geek entertainment. This year's event is being held from November 28th-30th. This will be the first time either are appearing at an Italian convention.

A press release from The Pokémon Company International earlier today has announced a collection of Pokémon activities, displays, and distributions that will be taking place at the upcoming Comic-Con International 2025, which is being held later this month from July 24th-27th. The Olympic Council of Asia has announced that a total of 11 titles, including Pokémon UNITE, will feature as part of the eSports portion of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 (第20回アジア競技大会 愛知/名古屋2026). The Pokémon Company International confirmed today that a giant Pokémon balloon will appear in the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, just as in every parade since the debut of the original Pikachu balloon in 2001. Pikachu and Eevee will appear along the 2.5 mile long parade route in New York City in their Poké Ball sleigh, one of 22 balloons in this year’s parade. This will be Pikachu and Eevee’s fourth appearance in the sleigh, as the balloon debuted in 2021 in conjunction with the franchise’s 25th anniversary.

Pokémon is expanding its presence in the Indian subcontinent: As part of the "Pokémon Festivities" campaign, Pikachu will be donning an Indian look and appearing in various events - from Pokémon GO to Pokémon Kids TV, to collaborations and celebrations taking place across the country. The male Pikachu sports a stylish navy-blue kurta with a beige vest, while the female Pikachu is clad in a pink saree. Pikachu’s attire has a clear Indian influence, with the Mago Berry pattern, resembling India’s national fruit, the mango. The design also incorporates the Poké Ball motif that is well-known among Pokémon fans. In addition to an exclusive event in Pokémon GO, the campaign will include a special gift box, a sticker pack, a dance video, keychain giveaways, and Pokémon Mela events.
