Today's updates on the Pokémon Trading Card Game's official Japanese homepage and YouTube channel have revealed most of the remaining new cards from the upcoming Paradise Dragona subset for the Scarlet & Violet series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which will be released in Japan at the end of next week on September 13th. Cards from Paradise Dragona are expected to be released internationally as part of the Surging Sparks expansion, which is scheduled to arrive in stores on November 8th.

Details released on Pokémon TCG Live's Stellar Crown Battle Pass, launching Thursday September 12th at 10:00am (PDT) / 5:00pm (UTC)

All players who log-in to the game over the period of this Battle Pass can expect to receive a free deck based around Terapagos ex, together with a selection of Scarlet & Violet—Stellar Crown booster packs, and tokens that can be used to purchase individual cards in game. By purchasing the Premium Pass, players will also unlock an additional deck based on Galvantula ex, along with additional tokens, in-game card sleeves, and coins that can be used to purchase other cosmetic items for player's decks and avatar.

Pokémon TCG Live to receive maintenance next week on September 10th, ahead of update to Version 1.18.0 and the digital release of Stellar Crown

Next week, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live will be receiving an update to Version 1.18.0 ahead of the release of Scarlet & Violet—Stellar Crown. This update will resolve a number of issues where cards abilities and effects were being applied incorrectly or inconsistently, as well as correcting several other gameplay bugs. As usual, the update will be preceded by an 8 hour long maintenance window, which is scheduled to start at 8:00am (PDT) / 3:00pm (UTC) on September 10th.

Thieves make off with $15,000 USD of product from tiny Pokémon TCG shop in San Antonio, Texas

Joe Adam is the owner of TCG Exchange, a Pokémon card shop that operates out of a few counters and shelves inside a boba café in San Antonio. At about 2:30 AM on August 24th, Adam was notified that his security system detected motion in the store; he watched as two men in hoodies loaded singles from the display cases, binders full of cards, and Elite Trainer Boxes into trash bags and backpacks. Local newspapers note that each card in the display was worth more than $35, and each binder was worth more than $1,200. Adam estimated the total theft amount was between $12,000 and $15,000.

Hong Kong police seize $10 million HKD of crystal meth from Pokémon TCG shop operating as drug front

On August 19th, the Hong Kong Police Force raided a small, upstairs shop specializing in Pokémon TCG products, seizing $10 million HKD (approx. $1.3 million USD) worth of methamphetamine from the store. The raid came after an investigation and interception of a 28 year old man outside the shop, on whom the police found 5 kg of the drug. Upon taking him back inside the shop, police found an additional 16 kg of crystal meth in the staff area.
