Don't miss the Sustainability Week event coming to Pokémon GO this coming week, from April 22nd to 26th

Pokémon GO's Sustainability Week, featuring Foongus, Binacle, Truubbish, Drilbur, and Combee
Earlier this week, Niantic released full details for the upcoming Sustainability Week event, which will be taking place in Pokémon GO starting April 22nd at 10:00am, and running through to April 26th at 8:00pm local time.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active during the event period:
  • Increased frequency of Buddy Pokémon bringing Trainers Souvenirs and presents.
  • Buddy Pokémon will spend more time on the map after being fed Berries or Poffins by Trainers.
  • The distance for Trainers to earn buddy hearts will be halved.
Additionally, PokéStop Showcases for event-themed Pokémon will be running throughout the event period at different PokéStops.

Collection Challenges and Field Research
Event-themed Collection Challenges, as well as event-themed Field Research, are available for free as part of the Sustainability Week event. Completing the Collection Challenges will award Trainers with Stardust and XP, while completing event-themed Field Research tasks will award encounters with a variety of different thematically appropriate Pokémon (see below for a list).

All Pokémon listed below with a ⁂ next to their name can also be encountered in their Shiny variants.

Eggs
Pokémon hatched in 2 km Eggs obtained during this event will have a greater chance of being a Shiny Pokémon than when found in the wild or via Field Research. The following Pokémon will hatch from 2 km Eggs:
  • Combee ⁂
  • Drilbur ⁂
  • Trubbish ⁂
  • Foongus ⁂
  • Binacle ⁂
Field Research task encounters
Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will award Trainers with encounters with the following Pokémon:
  • Combee ⁂
  • Drilbur ⁂
  • Trubbish ⁂
  • Binacle ⁂
  • Foongus (uncommon) ⁂
