GameChops releases new Chiptune and Piano cover of the Jubilife Village theme by Dj Cutman and Button Masher

Hot on the heels of the last week's release of PokéAmbient by Helynt, the folks over at the independent video game record label GameChops have today released a rendition of the Jubilife Village theme by Dj Cutman and Button Masher. Fusing detailed piano chops with chippy bits, this latest single provides an original take on the music composed by Gō Ichinose, Hitomi Satō, and Hiromitsu Maeba for Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Jubilife Village is available for streaming and download now on YouTube, and on a variety of other platforms.

Seasoned engineer, producer, and founder of GameChops Chris "Dj Cutman" Davidson, and Grammy Award-winning arranger Jake "Button Masher" Silverman, are both known for their retro-inspired spins on pop, jazz, and game music. Past collaborations from the pair include chiptunes inspired retro remakes of popular songs including Kool & the Gang's Get Down On It, Taylor Swift's Anti-Hero, Stevie Wonder’s funk classic Superstition, and Michael Jackson's Thriller.

GameChops is a record label dedicated to video game music. Founded in 2012, GameChops was one of the first record labels to license and publish video game music on platforms like iTunes and Spotify. All GameChops remix albums and singles are licensed and offered for use under Creative Commons, allowing for their use in non-profit remixes, streams, videos, podcasts, and other projects for free when accompanied with credits to the musician and links back to the GameChops website.
