New drinks, food, and merch inspired by sea and mountain Pokémon coming to Pronto cafés in Japan

A new menu inspired by Pokémon of the seas and mountains is coming to Italian-style Japanese coffee chain Pronto beginning July 11th and lasting until September 16th. The chain has revealed a selection of three new drinks with summery flavors, two new meals, and a dessert, as well a collection of original merchandise that will be available exclusively in-store at some Pronto locations. In addition, Pronto’s following flagship stores will be decorated in theme with the new sea and mountain menu.

New drinks on the menu will include Pikachu's Midsummer Mango Milk, Terapagos’ Sparkling Squash Jelly, and Sinistcha’s Hospitality Matcha Latte, each for ¥900 ($5.72 USD). The new food menu will offer Flying Dragonite Tomato Cream Pasta and Ogerpon's Four Masks Basil Pasta each for ¥1,700 ($10.80 USD), Finizen’s Water Ring Bagel Sandwich for ¥1,600 ($10.16 USD), and Quagsire’s Double Chocolate Mousse for ¥1,300 ($8.26).

With each drink purchase, customers will receive one of 20 different clear photo cards featuring a Pokémon that inspired the new menu, and with each food purchase, customers will receive one of 7 acrylic keychains.


The decorated flagship stores will also be selling a limited selection of exclusive Pokémon merch, which will drop in two waves. The first drop, beginning on July 11th, will include a reusable water bottle for ¥1,900 ($12.07 USD), a t-shirt for ¥3,500 ($22.23 USD), and a lunchbox for ¥6,000 ($38.11 USD). The second wave, which begins July 25th, will include a clear tote bag for ¥2,800 ($17.79 USD) and a drinking glass for ¥2,200 ($13.97 USD).


Also happening in two waves, Pronto will be hosting a giveaway promo on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, with the first wave lasting from July 11th to July 24th and the second wave lasting from August 13th to August 26th. Fans following Pronto’s account and who retweet the promotional Tweet (to be tweeted at the start of each wave) will be entered to win merchandise from the promo. Ten first wave winners will receive the sea and mountain t-shirt. Twenty second wave winners will receive the complete set of 20 clear cards given away with drink orders or the full set of 7 acrylic keychains given away with food orders.
