The Master Ball returns to Pokémon GO in mid-May, in new Masterwork Research for the Catching Wonders event

Niantic released full details on the Catching Wonders event in Pokémon GO, which will be taking place later this month between Tuesday May 14th, at 10:00am, and Sunday May 19th, at 8:00pm local time. As part of this event, Masterwork Research: Catching Wonders will be made available for free for all Trainers.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active during the event period:

• Trainers will receive 10× XP and 5× Stardust for their first catch of the day.
• Trainers will receive 10× XP for their first PokéStop or Gym spin of the day.

Field Research Task Encounters
Free event-themed Field Research tasks will be available as part of this event. When completed, these tasks will award Trainers with Stardust, XP, Poké Balls, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls.

Masterwork Research: Catching Wonders
Until the end of this event, Trainers can receive this special Masterwork Research for free. Once received, Trainers will then have an unlimited amount of time to complete the lengthy research, receiving a Master Ball once completed, along with additional rewards including but not limited to Stardust, XP, Berries, and encounters with Pokémon. This Masterwork Research cannot be gifted to other Trainers.
