The Pokémon TCG celebrates its 25th anniversary - Releases teaser for new Pokémon VSTAR mechanic

The Pokémon Trading Card Game celebrates its 25th anniversary on October 20, 2021. For this anniversary, a video has been released on the official Pokémon YouTube channel showcasing the announcement of a new classification of Pokémon card, Pokémon VSTAR.



While the set symbol on Arceus VSTAR in the English version of the trailer has not been seen previously, the Japanese version shows the card having a set symbol of S9, meaning we can expect to see Arceus VSTAR introduced as part of the next main expansion of the Japanese Sword & Shield Era.

The Japanese news update for this teaser also included high quality images of both Arceus VSTAR, and the Arceus V from the same set.

Trinity Charge
Search your deck for up to 3 basic Energy cards and attach them to your Pokémon V in any way you like. Then, shuffle your deck.
