Swearing, Cursing, Cussing...

Swearing is something that probably nearly all of us do, especially if we're angry about something. People use it as a way to emphasize something, but depending on how it's used it can also be a sign of disrespect and contempt.

Do you swear? If so how often? What is your opinion on those who swear excessively? (i.e, those who swear in every sentence or so..) And what are your thoughts on words such as "darn", "heck", and "gosh" which many people use in place of swear words? Like me, do you use them? :)

I grew up in a catholic environment, so I was always socialized to avoid swearing. I'm not so much religious these days, but I still tend to avoid swearing unless I'm really angry about something, which in this case I can't help it. xD

I do say words like "gosh" and "darn", because I don't like coming off as harsh. Part of the reason I swear occasionally (other than when I'm really mad) is because it seems like a way to get people to take me seriously for a change.
