Pokémon Card GB to feature in first half of the Speedromizer speedrunning marathon this weekend in benefit of QMUNITY

The sixth edition of Speedromizer will be split up in two halves, with the first running from November 15th-17th, and the second continuing next weekend from November 22nd-24th. A run of Pokémon Trading Card Game for the Game Boy Color is scheduled for the first day of the event. This marathon will be raising money for QMUNITY, a resource center for queer, trans, and Two-Spirit people in British Columbia, Canada, aiding with community initiatives while providing a safe space and collective strength. The marathon can be watched from its official Twitch channel.

Speedromizer is a bi-annual marathon with a unique twist: runs are shuffled between runners, giving participants 90 days to learn a new speedrun with help from the one who submitted it. For example, the prominent runner of Card GB at marathons and the individual who submitted the run, toronite, will be doing an any% run of Super Mario Odyssey. Since its inception in 2023, Speedromizer has raised over $5000 for various LGBTQ charities.
