Psyduck joins the fray in Pokémon UNITE
Psyduck is the latest Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE. Psyduck is a special attacking Ranged Supporter with Novice difficulty, and can be purchased from the in-game shop for 790 Aeos Gems. It will also be available for 13,000 Aeos Coins from next week.
Players who purchase Psyduck's Unite license during the first week will receive a special Psyduck background. As is usual for a new Pokémon release, a new set of Holowear has also been made available, with Beach Style: Psyduck now available in Zirco Trading for 1,050 Aeos Gems. This Holowear features Audio/Visual FX for Movement.
Psyduck Moves Overview
While it does have an evolved stage, Golduck, Psyduck does not evolve in Pokémon UNITE. Psyduck has the ability Swift Swim, which increases its movement speed upon taking damage. After its 'headache gauge' is filled, it triggers a mysterious power that shoves nearby Pokémon and powers up Psyduck's moves.
Psyduck's first move slot consists of Confusion, which can upgrade into Bubble Beam or Surf. Confusion releases weak telekinetic forces toward opposing Pokémon, dealing damage and leaving them unable to act. Bubble Beam attacks opposing Pokémon with a spray of bubbles, and attaches 3 bubbles to them, which applying a slowing effect when bursting upon taking damage. Surf has the user create a ride a wave in the designated direction, dealing damage, and applying a slowing effect to opponents.
Psyduck's second move slot consists of Tail Whip, which can upgrade into Psychic or Disable. Tail Whip deals damage, applies a slowing effect, and lowers the Sp. Def of opponents. Psychic releases a strong telekinetic force in the designated area, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and leaving them unable to act. Disable release electricity that limits the designated opposing Pokémon's moves while dealing damage and leaving them unable to act, and also spreads to nearby opposing Pokémon.
Psyduck's Unite Move is Full-Power Psy-ay-ay!, which has the Hindrance effect. It has the user release three mysterious psychic waves around itself, dealing damage and decreasing the damage dealt by opposing Pokémon they hit. After using this move, the user's headache gauge greatly increases as a consequence of it unleashing its full power.
