Pokémon Masters EX to shutdown in Vietnam on November 27th

Pokémon Masters EX has announced today to its Vietnamese players that the app will be ceasing service in their country as of an upcoming update scheduled for November 27th. No reason was given for why the shutdown would be taking place, but it seems likely that this could be a result of strict new gaming regulations that have come into effect recently.

Similar regulations in Belgium and the Netherlands on October 31st led to Pokémon Masters EX and Pokémon TCG Pocket not being released in those countries at all, and in-game purchases for Pokémon UNITE in those countries being discontinued as of October 31st this year.

Despite the impending shutdown, Vietnamese players of Pokémon Masters EX will be able to continue to access all game features, including all in-app purchases, until the date of the shutdown. Though the notice does state this date could be subject to change, it seems unlikely in the circumstances that fans will be fortunate enough to have a reprieve.
