The cover page for the second mini-volume of Pocket Monsters Special Scarlet Violet, showing Scarlet descending from a web-like rope at the top, Nemona in the center, and Violet riding Miraidon with Arven at the bottom. The Stony Cliff and Open Sky Titans are present on the left and right, respectively.
Volume 2 of Pocket Monsters Special Scarlet & Violet releases September 27th in Japan. This mini-volume collects chapters 7–11, which were first published in the CoroCoro Ichiban! magazine. Like volume 1, this new volume will contain content not present in the initial release, such as updated artwork, and an additional chapter.

As depicted by the cover, the latest volume will see Violet and Arven confront the Stony Cliff and Open Sky Titans. Due to an error, one of Violet’s gloves is left uncolored in the final image, as pointed out by illustrator Satoshi Yamamoto in a post on X (Twitter).

Authored by Hidenori Kusaka and illustrated by Mato and Satoshi Yamamoto, Pocket Monsters Special (called Pokémon Adventures in English) is a manga series inspired by the core games. Each arc and its protagonists take their names from the games they are based on, beginning with the Red, Green, and Blue arc to coincide with Pokémon Red, Green, and Blue. Rather than strictly following the plot of the games, Kusaka takes many creative liberties to add depth and personality to the world he portrays.

The Scarlet & Violet arc follows Violet, a self-proclaimed prince, and Scarlet, a professional treasure hunter, as they journey through Paldea on separate adventures. While Violet searches for Herba Mystica, Scarlet is on a mission to track down the treasures of ruin, battling Gym Leaders along the way. The serialization of this arc‘s chapters had previously been delayed due to Yamamoto’s health.
