Catch Gigantamax Meowth in Pokémon GO this Sunday February 15th in the Gigantamax Meowth Max Battle Day

Gigantamax Meowth will be featured in Pokémon GO's upcoming Max Battle Day this weekend on Sunday February 15th, running as usual from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. Lucky Trainers may also encounter Gigantamax Meowth in its Shiny variant during this event.

Meowth caught from Max Battle encounters will be unable to evolve.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following bonuses will be active during the event:

• Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
• All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles.
• Power Spots will refresh more frequently
• Trainers will receive 8× Max Particles from Power Spots
• Trainers can make up to four Special Trades for the day

The following bonuses will be active from 12:00am to 5:00pm local time:

• Trainers will receive 2× Max Particles from exploring
• Trainers will require only 1/4 Adventuring distance to receive Max Particles

The following bonuses will be active from February 14th at 4:00 p.m. through to February 15th, at 8:00pm (PDT):

• The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20

Free Timed Research
A free Timed Research opportunity is currently available to Trainers in advance of the Max Battle Day. On completion, this Timed Research will reward Trainers with an encounter with Dynamax Machop, as well as Machop Candy and Max Particles to assist Trainers in building up their teams to take on Gigantamax Meowth.

The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before February 15th, at 5:00pm local time.

Event Ticket
Trainers can purchase an event-exclusive ticket for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency), which grants access to event-exclusive Timed Research that will be effective on Sunday, February 15th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. Trainers completing this research will receive a Max Mushroom, 25,000 XP, and 6,400 Max Particles.

Additionally, ticket holders will also receive a 2× XP from Max Battles bonus during the event.

This ticket will only be available in the in-game shop until 5:00pm local time on February 15th. Trainers may gift this event-exclusive ticket to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.

Gigantamax Meowth Max Battle Day Ultra Ticket Box
A Gigantamax Meowth Max Battle Day Ultra Ticket Box will be available for purchase on the Pokémon GO Web Store for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). This box includes an event ticket, and a bonus Premium Battle Pass.
