Celebrate Valentine's Day 2026 in Pokémon GO with this event running through to Sunday February 15th

Pokémon GO has started its celebrations of Valentine's Day a bit early this year, with the Valentine's Day 2026 event commencing from today, Tuesday, February 10th, at 10:00am, running through to Sunday, February 15th, at 8:00pm local time.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following bonuses will be active during the event period:

• 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
• 2× Stardust from opening Gifts.
• Increased chance to encounter Shiny Nidoran♀ and Shiny Nidoran♂.
• Increased chance to hatch Shiny Nidoran♀, Shiny Nidoran♂, and Shiny Cherubi.

Heart Trim Furfrou
During the event period, Trainers will be able to change their Natural Form Furfrou to Heart Trim Furfrou. To change trims, Trainers will need to go to the Furfrou's summary page, then tap the Change Form button to bring up a menu that lists the available trims, and then select the preferred trim. Changing Furfrou's trim will cost 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust.

Featured Attack
Kirlia that are evolved during the event into either Gardevoir or Gallade will learn the Charged Attack Synchronoise.

Global Challenge
A Global Challenge will be taking place throughout the Valentine's Day event, in which Trainers around the world will need to send Gifts to each other in order to unlock the following bonuses for all Trainers to enjoy for the remainder of the event:

• Trainers will receive free Timed Research awarding encounters with Spinda with a heart pattern.
• Trainers will receive 750 XP for successfully catching a Pokémon with a Curveball Throw .
• Gifts sent during the event may include Rare Candy.

Field Research
Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available as part of this event. Trainers completing these tasks will receive encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
