Mega Evolution—Perfect Order expansion for the Pokémon TCG announced for release on March 27th

The next Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Mega Evolution Series has been officially announced in a press release by The Pokémon Company International. Mega Evolution—Perfect Order will release internationally from March 27th. The set will primarily contain cards from the Japanese Nihil Zero expansion, which releases there on January 23rd.

Perfect Order is the first main set to be based on the video game Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and the second overall after Ascended Heroes. Mega Zygarde ex stands as the central Pokémon of the set, accompanied by cards themed around the Pokémon Legends: Z-A video game such as Lumiose City. The set's proper Japanese name, Munikisu Zero, references the Japanese name of Mega Zygarde's signature move, Nihil Light (Japanese: 無に帰す光 Munikisu Hikari). The name also forms the initialism "MZ", which alludes to two important Pokémon Legends: Z-A elements, namely Team MZ and Mega Zygarde.

Players and collectors can expect the set to include the following:
  • A total of over 120 new cards
  • 4 Mega Pokémon ex
  • 9 Pokémon ex
  • More than 25 Trainer cards
  • 35 full art cards, including:
    • 11 illustration rate Pokémon
    • 18 ultra rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, Trainer, and Energy cards
    • 6 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
Physical pre-release tournaments for this set will begin from March 14th at participating locations worldwide. As usual, Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames will also be available for players of the Pokémon TCG Live app one day ahead of the physical release, on March 26th.

Mega Evolution—Perfect Order will be available across the typical variety of formats, including Booster boxes, Bundles, and a variety of Blisters with included promo cards. This set's Elite Trainer Box features a light grey Mega Zygarde on a hexagonal lime green and dark grey background, and should include nine boosters together with the usual assortment of energy cards, card sleeves, and other gameplay accessories, as well as an illustration-rare style promo card of Tyrunt. A Pokémon Center edition of this Elite Trainer Box will also be available, which includes all the contents of the regular Elite Trainer Box plus two additional booster packs, and an illustration-rare style promo card of Tyrunt with a Pokémon Center logo.
