Wattrel and Kilowatttrel to make their Pokémon GO debuts next week as a Global Challenge reward for the High Zaptitude event commencing January 13th

Wattrel, the Storm Petrel Pokémon, and its Evolution Kilowattrel, the Frigatebird Pokémon, are set to make their Pokémon GO debuts next week in the High Zaptitude event, which is running from Tuesday, January 13th, at 10:00am through to Sunday, January 18th, at 8:00pm local time.

After making their debuts, 50 Wattrel Candy will be required to evolve Wattrel into Kilowattrel.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following bonus will be active throughout the event period:

• Increased chance to hatch Shiny Tadbulb.

Global Challenges
During this event, Trainers around the world will need to work together to complete a series of Global Challenges. Special bonuses will be unlocked for the remainder of the event with each challenge completed.

• Level 1 Reward
  • 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
• Level 2 Rewards
  • 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
  • Wattrel and Kilowattrel will make their Pokémon GO debuts in the wild and Field Research.
• Level 3 Rewards
  
  • 2× XP for hatching Pokémon.
  • 2× Stardust for hatching Pokémon.

Field Research Task Encounters
Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available as part of this event. Trainers completing these tasks will receive encounters with event-themed Pokémon.

Paid Timed Research
Trainers will be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research for US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). Amongst other rewards, Trainers completing this research will receive one Incubator, one Super Incubator, and encounters with Tadbulb.

Trainers who purchase this ticket will also receive the following additional bonus during the event period:

• 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator

The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before January 18th, at 8:00pm local time.

High Zaptitude Ultra Ticket Box
A High Zaptitude Ultra Ticket Box will be available in the Pokémon GO Web Store for US$1.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). The box includes an event ticket for access to the Paid Timed Research, along with two Max Revives, and two Max Potions.
