The Pokémon HOME 3.0.0 update, which was originally announced for May 23rd, has now been confirmed as releasing at the end of this month. At 5pm (PDT) on May 29th, Pokémon HOME will enter an extended period of maintenance ahead of 3.0.0 becoming available to users. The Pokémon Company has warned that this maintenance could extend for more than 24 hours, going as late as 11pm (PDT) on May 30th.

This update will allow Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, released in November last year, recently released Pokémon titles, to be mutually compatible to past games including Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, and Pokémon GO. For more details on this update, please see our coverage of the original announcement.

Pokémon HOME is a cloud service app that enables Trainers to transfer Pokémon easily between different save files, as well as import Pokémon from Nintendo 3DS titles via Pokémon Bank, which was made free to use with the discontinuation of the Nintendo 3DS eShop in March this year.
