Master Fair Scout for Hop & Zapdos now available in Pokémon Masters EX, will run through to April 8th

Hop (Champion) & Zapdos
As announced earlier this week during the Pokémon Presents presentation for Pokémon Day, Hop is appearing in Pokémon Masters EX in a brand new Sync Pair together with Galarian Form Zapdos. Hop (Champion) & Zapdos's Master Fair Scout is available now, and will continue through until April 8th, at 9:59pm (PDT).

Hop's 6★ EX outfit
As usual for Master Fair scouts, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 12% chance of appearing, with the featured pair having a higher chance of appearing than other pairs. In conjunction with this scout, Hop has been released with an expanded Sync Grid, as well as the ability to be raised to 6★ EX status, which flips the palette of his outfit.

The Hop Master Fair Scout includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for x100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout. Additionally, the first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout x11 for this scout, they will also receive the following bonus presents:
  • 1st Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1
  • 2nd Scout: 5★ Power-Up x2
  • 3rd Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1, Tech Move Candy Coin x1
  • 4th Scout: 5★ Power-Up x4
  • 5th Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1, Tech Move Candy Coin x1, Support Move Candy Coin x1
Hop (Champion) & Zapdos are a Fighting-type tech Sync Pair with a balanced approach between buffing themselves and debuffing opponents. Their Thunderous Kick and B Thunderous Kick attacks combo together with their Postwick Perserverance passive skill to allow them to lower opponents Defense and Sp. Def by 1 and 3 ranks respectively each time they attack. Their Triumphant Research! Trainer Move similarly combos with their Down for a Freebie 9 passive skill, applying a Free Move Next effect to the pair in exchange for a 1 stat rank reduction of Sp. Def, alongside a 3 stat rank boost to Speed and turning the field of play's zone into a Fighting Zone. Together with their Lightning Legs passive, which increases their Attack by 6 stat ranks when they enter battle, this pair can start doing brutally high damage quickly, despite their Thunderous Kick normally requiring a full 4 slots of the move gauge. Like with Marnie (Champion) & Moltres, the pair's buddy move, which can be used once every time the player's team's Sync Move countdown is reduced by 6, also ignores pponents passive skills to reduce damage or protect against critical hits, as well as bypassing the Enduring effect.
