If Australian Pokéfans didn't already have too much junk food in their immediate future with the release of the McDonald's Happy Meals this Thursday, they certainly will now with the release of Pokémon doughnuts in Krispy Kreme stores Australia-wide.

Each of the five available designs has its own flavor:
  • Poké Ball - Original glazed
  • Pikachu - Chocolate crème, dipped in white truffle
  • Bulbasaur - Green apple icing and sand sugar with a crème swirl
  • Charmander - Vanilla custard, dipped in white truffle
  • Squirtle - Strawberry-filled, dipped in white chocolate
At this point in time, only the Poké Ball, Pikachu, and Charmander designs are available for purchase in stores, priced at AUS$3.75 each. For now, fans wanting to catch ém all and get the full set of Kanto starters will need to buy the "Pokémon Dozen" through Krispy Kreme's website, as these sets are exclusive to online orders. Each of these sets includes 2 x Pikachu Doughnut, 1 x Poké Ball Doughnut, 1 x Charmander Doughnut, 1 x Bulbasaur Doughnut, and 1 x Squirtle Doughnut, with the remainder being filled out with Original Glazed Doughnuts. The Pokémon Dozen can be bought either on its own for $29.95, or as a double dozen with an additional pack of 12 Original Glazed Doughnuts for $39.95.

Deliveries directly from Krispy Kreme are only available in limited areas, and are subject to significant delays due to continuing issues related to COVID-19, so your best bet for getting these will be to place a click and collect order for your closest store. Depending on your location, you may also be able to get delivery through local delivery services such as Deliveroo, MenuLog, and Uber Eats.
