Fair and Square Online Competition open for registration

A new online competition has been announced for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Registration for the Fair and Square competition will begin on June 2, 2021, at 10:00 p.m. PDT, and will remain open until June 17, 2021, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. The competition itself will then take place starting from June 17, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. PDT, running until June 20, 2021, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

The competition will be conducted as a Single Battle. Pokémon with the Galar Pokédex no. 001–380 and 383–397, Isle of Armor Pokédex no. 001–099 and 102–210, and Crown Tundra Pokédex no. 001–196 are eligible for battle, as well as the following Pokémon: Treecko, Grovyle, Sceptile, Torchic, Combusken, Blaziken, Mudkip, Marshtomp, Swampert, Rowlet, Dartrix, Decidueye, Litten, Torracat, Incineroar, Popplio, Brionne, and Primarina. Legendary Pokémon and Mythical Pokémon are prohibited. Each Pokémon in your Battle Team must have the Galar symbol or battle-ready symbol. Your Battle Team can have more than one of the same Pokémon and more than one of the same held item. By taking part in this challenge, you'll earn a participation gift of 50 Battle Points.

To register for the competition, follow these steps:

1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select VS.
4. Select Battle Stadium.
5. Select Online Competitions.
6. Select Search Official Competitions.

To view your rankings after the competition has ended, follow these steps:

1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select VS.
4. Select Battle Stadium.
5. Select Online Competitions.
6. Select Search Official Competitions.

To receive your participation gift after the competition, follow these steps:

1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select Mystery Gift.
4. Select Get a Mystery Gift.
5. Select Get Battle Stadium Rewards.
